The 10 in 10 challenge: Day 7

This weekend overall was very productive. I wasn’t able to finish painting the bathroom cabinets, but we needed our drawers back. So last night we put everything back together. I will take everything back down next weekend and finish putting the last few coats of paint on the drawers & doors. Even with a few missing coats of paint, it looks a million times better in there.

Here’s the before:

And here’s the after:

I still plan on changing out the hardware. I have all the new knobs, but one of the drawer pulls will NOT come off. We will probably need to borrow a dremel from someone and saw it off in order to replace it.

After getting everything put back together, I organized the whole thing. Have I mentioned that I LOVE organizing? (Yes, in fact, I did – here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.)

With enlisted help this weekend, my front door was painted red by my sister, the large dirt pile was removed by a neighbor, and the river rocks & furniture pieces were moved by my mom & husband. The carport/driveway area looks so much better than it did before!

Here's how the front porch looked a year ago:

And here's what it looks like now:

21 tasks down in a week! I have to say, having the challenge to just do one or two things a day is helping me to do even more than I thought I could get done in this amount of time! Even though I have some large tasks saved up for last, I’ve been able to get several smaller instant gratification work done, which helps me to stay motivated to keep on going! If you haven’t started your own “10 tasks in 10 days challenge,” you should definitely give it a try!

Thanks for reading!
